- A couple of things: I have not tried to hook up a radio this way and only mentioned this technique in passing. My 1955 Healey was converted to neg ground. Again, I was only responding to another LBC

- Dave--check the fuses. If you've inserted a fuse between the hot terminals (a1/a2) and teh accessory terminals (a3/a4) the car will run ok but you will get a generator light. -- John Trifari 1980 MGB

- also watch the batterty terminals and insure that the reversed battery doesn't suddenyl have its positive termninal up against the battery shelf cover. Suggest ibnsulating the terminals -- John Trifa

- I hear converters whine. If you don't want to convert to neg ground, why not just insuilate the radio from the frame and and power it directly off the battery? Better yet, convert it to neg graound.
