- The unswitched power source needs to be one that does not get turned off when you turn off the key. I would imagine that the headlamps line would work, though you may consider other unswitched option

- I put on a standard replacement AL head in Jan. Works great. I have an 18GD. I took it in and had heli-coils installed in the maniford stud holes, spark plug holes, and the rocker arm assembly holes.
