- It doesn't matter which way any coil is wired with regard to the SW or CB terminals. When the points open there will still be a surge of current through the primary coil due to the condensor chargin

- Hi Don Castrol XL was a straight 30 grade oil ie not multi grade and it was also used for engines before the multigrades were introduced, usually during the summer in the UK where ambient temperature
