Hi all, Anyone know the torque setting for the head bolts? My Kenneth Ball book shows the sequence but says "tighten to recomended torque setting". I cannot find the recommended. Thanks!! Scott Willi

My AH 100-6 and 3000 workshop manual says 400 lb. in. for the cylinder head studs and 900 lb. in. for the cylinder head nuts. These numbers seem high to me but I'm not familiar with "lb. in." and wo

Just divide lb/in by 12 to get the more familiar lb/ft; 400 lb/in = 33 lb/ft 900 lb/in = 75 lb/ft Dave Russell

They are 75 ft lbs. Be sure that the threads have some sort of anti seize or lubricant on them, if the threads are dry the torque settings will be all over the place... 75 ft. lbs is alot of torque!
