- Hello all, A friend has recently bought a BN1. According to the owner at first the overdrive worked perfectly. Then within a few drives it apparently would only work occasionally. Now it won't engage

- I'm thinking doo-doo on the valves inside the OD. If particulates formed while the unit sat for a while they might have worked themselves up and onto the valve seats. I had this happen after a rebuil

- Something that has happened to me with a couple over overdrives - although they were later cars, it may be pertinent on the early 100's as well: Due to wear in the area where the lifting cam acuates
