- Are you running a fuel pressure regulator? Any gunk in the fuel filter(s)? Kinda sounds like problems we had long ago due to not enough fuel flow - in our case taking out the fuel pressure regulator

- Roller rockers are not allowed in vintage racing with CSRG out west. I've had not problem with the stock rockers on my TR4 racer in fifteen races. Stock except for A.R.E. spacers on the rocker shaft.

- My engine has a Paeco TR-6600 cam. The cam card calls for a .014 intake/.016 exhaust valve lash. A little looser than stock, but not by much. I know folks running larger clearances on the hotter cams
