I've seen the heim joint upper a-arm modification before, very nice. I thought about doing this on my TR4 but was warned that it was not considered "vintage legal". Perhaps we need a group opinion on

On my TR4 I used 1/2" Moroso studs. I'm not positive but I think they had 7/16" also. Rich Hone

Just want to ad a note to this thread. A few years ago I decided to up grade my rods on my TR4, but thought the Carillo price was a bit steep. I ended up having a set of 4130 billet rods made by Crow
