The thing on the firewall is a switch. It detects an imbalance between front and rear and turns on the red light on the dash. Proportioning is done in the master cylinder. Double flares are a must on

I requires a special tool. It looks like a bent screwdriver with a 'V' cut in the blade. Probe around until you feel the 'V' slip around the clip, bump the end of the handle with your hand to seat it

Another option is a 'Speed Bleeder'. It is basically a bleeder plug with a check valve built into it. I spotted then in O'Riley's the other day so I assume other chains carry them as well. Roadsters
