I believe you can get them from Paeco, but without a Limited slip Diff, it will probably do more harm than good.

If it's rust on a painted finish, Have you considered a mild abrasive approach like polishing compound? This should polish out rust spots etc, and remove oxidation from the paint. they should come up

It sounds like you don't intend to keep the painted finish. How'bout bead blasting, then send them out for powder coating? if you want a polished aluminum look, get out the sandpaper and scotchbrite.

I would bet the turn-signal switch may be the culprit. Lost brake lights on my 70 1600 not too terribly long ago and that was the problem. It could also be the plunger switch on the brake pedal arm.
