Don't write him off yet. He may be anticipating a hefty shipping bill. I got similar quotes for moving an old 320 truck from Sactamento to near San Antonio TX. This is a parts truck I paid $150 for.

Odd thing is, Sacramento was way off the beaten track for all the truckers I talked to. Edmonton is up there, but only about 100 miles further from Dallas than Sacramento as the Canado Goose Flies ;-

I thought the whole point of POR is not having to sandblast it. POR stands for paint over rust, after all. You would need to take it to bare metal in order to powder-coat it, however. I'd go POR or C
