- Serge: The easiest (not necessarily the cheapest) way to add displacement is to bore and stroke the 351. You can easily stroke it to 408 cubic inches with 450-500 horse power and over 500 foot-pounds

- Ford motorsport offers a 393 crate engine (direct bolt in) with about 400 horsepower that is very streetable, available at your local ford dealer and comes with a warranty!

- Yes, but Serge asked "with no modification to the hood." There is a picture of Tom Rust's car with a 460 on the BI web site, and you can see the hood bulge. By the way, the caption incorrectly states

- Decent HP can be made with a low intake (Performer Series) which fits under the stock hood. My hood is toast, several major cracks and severe warpage, so I need a new one anyhow so why not make one a
