To remove the headlight knob. There is a small spring loaded button on the flat side of switch. Pull the knob to the on position, depress the spring loaded button and pull. The knob and stem come out

Greg, if you have the old bearings, look at the backside of them. If they are undersized, it should give the size, eg; -010, -020 etc. You can also mike the crank journals to see if they are standard
