- Yes Brian it should screw in. They did on my 240SX anyway. Nissan sells a tool (don't they always) but you can improvise. Be carefull of piston rubber seal. This will tend to move with the piston and

- Couple of possibilities on that Maxima: 1) You have to, as you suspected, screw the piston back into the caliper. There may be a couple of spanner notches on the piston which will be your clue there
