This looks like a nice little toy. I've driven an 80,000 pound GVW rig with a 300-horse Cummins (although with 1000+ lb/ft of torque,) so 300 hp with a total GVW of half that should be rather peppy.

Put in living quarters and it's an RV not a big rig. RV's can be huge and require no CDL. Look at Larry Schauf's Prevost/trailer combo. Eric(I've showered at 70 mph) C btw, ever wonder why Ford uses

Now, now, now, honey. Don't point out that even Ford knows the Powerchoke to be less engine than the Cummins. You might make someone feel bad. mlc '91 MR2 NA '96 Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel (yup, 5.9l

Cummins makes real truck engines. The power strokes are cheaper for a reason. Besides, I think I remember the rig we're talking about uses a Cat engine, with the Cummins and the power stroke as optio

Sorry, I don't know the exact crossover point, since I haven't had to take a written test on this stuff in at least 25 years. I'm glad you caught me on this, 'cause I'd hate to give out incorrect inf

Of course, the Clements' are being required to get CDL's due to their (lack of) exhaust muffling, so you already know they're a bit off... Some of us only need enough truck to tow a _car_. Mark
