There are actually two sheets that come with your decal set (or at least there should be). The top sheet holds the letters in place while you apply them to your magnetic stock. They should work like

You can use any type of limited-slip mechanism you want in SP (clutch, Torsen, welded, spool, whatever). The only limitation is that you have to use a gear ratio you could have ordered with the car.

I think the real issue was the 5.5G cornering loads the drivers were experiencing. IIRC, 6G is the threshold for a blackout. I would have liked to see them run, but I think CART made the right call.
