Been there, done that, as I'm sure many others have. About a year back, I had just finished overhauling the rear brake system, lines, seals, shoes etc., and the last job was to attach the new lines,

I must have changed thousands of cylinders over the years (and stripped a few threads in the early years) until I realised the problem usually lies with the fact that the pipe nut had been overtighte
