My 75 TR6 (stock engine - never rebult) has 125 compression on 1-5 cylinders, but has 95 on #6. The car seems to run well, at least I think so. Is the likely culprit sticky or worn valves and it just

Jim--The low compression on one cylinder is either from a valve not seating on your #6, or the piston could have a broken ring land. The usual "test" of squirting a teaspoon of oil into this sparkplu

Jim, when my '72 was repainted, the shop painted both plates, even though I requested that the top one be masked off. My car is painted with PPG basecoat/clearcoat, and I just recently corrected that

Thanks Greg, sounds like a great idea. I have already drilled the rivets and removed the ID badge to prep. Figured I'd have the engine bay painted without the plate attached so I can clean it up nice
