- If I recall correctly, I placed a 2x4 (the 1.5 inch dimension)between the head and firewall and then took most of the weight off the jack. This provided a comfortable angle to slide the transmission

- I have the 6 or 6.5 HP, 33 gallon Sears only in the 220 volt version....similar numbers. This should work just fine for your needs. I run everything you listed with no problems whatsoever. Good luck
