- Hey all, On a 73 Six, we can't get the plug off of the alternator. What's the trick? Moved the little spring wire, pulled hard but didn't want to bust the plastic plug or strip out the wires. thanks,

- Sounds to me as if your heater valve is open. You didn't specifically mention if you had checked the actual valve. Maybe loose or broken valve cable. Sloane :) 69-Six
