I'm pretty sure ST cut the hole to make the rocker/sill lighter. They knew the rocker would rust through and fall off in a couple of rainy seasons, and this made it easier to carry away. Mike N CC750

I put 205/70/15's on my rebuild, just like RAL2 and a host of other TR6ers. I got Yokohama T4's. They ride and look great and are rated, if I recall, to 118mph. (That's plenty for me!) Like Richard
