- Hi again, John, My mate had the same problem on a Sunbeam Alpine auto. The sump bolts had been overtightened and had stretched the metal. So we... 1. Removed the sump and carefully dressed the holes

- Sorry, I didn't make the bit about the O rings clear. We used them under the heads of the bolts (set screws). The idea was that, when tightened, they would grip the bolt thread and also seal against
