One of the guys up here has a neat trailer that has a canvas pop-top. The
hard walls are perhaps three feet high - just high enough to allow a flat
canvas top to clear the roll bar on the race car (FB). at the track, the
top goes up on a tent framework, and the sides are added, creating an
enclosed tent frame. The hard walls allow permanent tool and spares
storage space to be added. They had the top fabricated by a boat top
maker, which is where I would go first to ask. they may also be able to
fabricate a folding frame, or you make decide to wack one together after
consulting the top tailor. One thing to keep in mind is that the canvas
covers tend to change size with heat and moisture, so the superstructure
should have some springs or other "give" in it if you want to be able to
put it up when its at its "small" cycle.
