As long as we're on the topic of strange places to find
a race car...
I reclaimed my car as a chassis, suspension and bits
from years of sitting above a bathroom in a factory
near the airport here in Toronto.
The previous owner knew it was there but didn't know
what it really was.

As an interesting historical sidebar, the guy I bought
the then complete car from bought it from Major General
Lewis McKenzie who was then in Yugoslavia as the head
oif the UN peacekeeping forces.
I had left a message in his Canadian Forces office to
call me when he got back to Canada (and was completely
free of UN duties) to see if he any info to help with
my restoration.
He arrive back in Toronto (this was in 1993) on Tuesday
night and called me at 9 am on Wednesday.

I guess that a 'car call' was a nice change from what
he went through for two years before. My wife thinks we
ALL have our priorities screwed up. Go figure.
