In the movie "THX 1138", Robert Duval's character steals a car at one point. The ensuing chase scene was filmed in the Caldecott Tunnel in the SF Bay Area. Does anybody know exactly what kind of car it was? Obviously, the car had been dolled up to look like a jet powered car from the outside, and the cockpit effects were all movie magic, but the car did move, and quite rapidly. It looked like an IMSA GT or Le Mans type car, possibly a Matra, or McLaren. Does anybody know for sure? |
