Welcome to cyberspace. Triumph.cs.utah.edu is the machine that currently
hosts various mailing lists, like these. The team.net domain is an
alias. This allows the list adminstrator the freedom to move the entire
domain to a different host should the need arise, without changing the
address people send mail to. Some time ago, the administrator urged
everyone to stop sending to triumph.cs.utah.edu and use the team.net
suffix to ensure long-term viability of the address. The fact that the
triumph.cs.utah.edu suffix still appears in the mail you receive is
probably some obscure feature of the address rewriting rules which are
one of the most confusing aspects of Internet mail. Since the lists are
really email "exploders", the actual To: line is usually irrelevant.
