Dear Palle, I race a 1964 Ginetta G4 in the United States (Northwest
area). Running 13 x 7 in wheels is certainly not correct, and I am
surprised that you can find the room under the fenders to fit them
without flairs (also not correct). I have a copy of the original
factory literature and it doesn't specify the width of the wheels just
refering to them as 13 in. I would doubt that they were more than 13 x
5 (maybe 5.5). I have used Dunlop Rally S (no longer made) and Dunlop
vintage tires (L), but am currently using BFG Comp T/A "R" They seem to
offer good performance, life expectancy and reasonable cost. Also they
don't hit the body work. I know that these cars continued to evolve in
England in "Mod-sports." It sounds like your car might have been
subjected to such--- I would like to hear more of your car and racing
in Japan. I have shipped my G4 to New Zealand and will be racing there
in the Southern Festival of Speed next month. Sincerely,
