When I got my Formula Jr, there was a hole in the firewall about 18" square! The PO had cut it to make the seat installation easier. The hole was used to grab the upholstery from behind and slip it off the seat so you could remove the goofball hardware underneath. I added captive hardware to the seat bottom and riveted a panel over the hole. Talk about a safety violation!! > > And how many of you naughty boys have holes in your firewalls too? > Malx > I once drove out on the track with my horse collar nicely placed over the side mirror. Nobody on pre-grid caught me. I snatched it back inside out on the track and hid it until I came in. Good thing the color matches the bodywork. ;=) |
