For a starter car, I would recommend an FV (if your local club has a class
for them). They are fun and cheap, and surprisingly fast. A good Zink or
Autodynamics is capable of running with most Lotus 51 FF's. And you can buy a
good one for about $4000-$7000 with trailer and spares. Don't buy a project
for your first car - get a good runner. Just a suggestion.
