I just use a small piece of coarse screen door/window screen material tied
in front of the Radiator itself.
I have done this with all types of vehicles that I have owned over the last
66 years, not just British cars.

The older metal, coarser screen works better that the new very fine
polyester screen.
It is easier to install and easier to keep in place.
