Heat riser solvent. Up to the 1960's (?) American cars had "heat risers on the exhaust manifolds. These would open to allow manifold heat to warm intake on initial start-up. Hard to find today - garage sales, older repair shops, etc - but if this didn't break it loose, it was normally torch time.
