It 'shines' infrared heat onto whatever you point it at, which creates a
small zone of comfort without having to heat the surrounding area. B Works
pretty good, IMO, as long as you are out of the wind. B And it works much
quicker than having to heat the entire area, which can save a lot of energy
if you only work for a few hours at a time. B It also makes it much more
practical to only work for a few minutes (say after dinner on a work day).
