YES !
But I fear it's too late, we've already lost the automotive war. Much like
the British 20-30 years ago, the only thing keeping GM & Ford in business is
the "buy American" sentiment; which is fading. And even that won't keep
them in business for much longer, if they keep losing money as they have
been. (GM averaged a loss of over $1200/car in 2005; Ford lost over $700/car
for the first half of 2006)
Of course it's my opinion that the labor unions are more to blame than
management ... which maybe only shows there is plenty of blame to go around.
