There are two pairs of braces that look similar. I'm going from memory
here as its not dawn yet and I'm cuddled up with my first cup of tea.
I'm too comfy here to go out into the dark & pop the bonnet or to stir
away from my warm chair & tea to search out a reference book.

One pair are the braces that go between the crank guide and bottom
radiator mount. They bolt to either side of the bottom on the guide to
anchor it in place. They keep the guide casting from damaging the apron
sheet metal.

The other pair go between the side top of the radiator and the inner
wing panels. There should be a 'V' shaped strip of sheet metal welded to
the inner wing panel on each side. That's the bracket for the threaded
side of the rod.

You might consider picking up a reprint of the factory parts manual. It
does a marvelous job of documenting the TR3 & small mouth 3 with
exploded drawings showing what goes where.

Take care

TeriAnn
