Good morning all,
I just received my E-Bay purchased radiator stays for the TR2, a
trial fit seemed to require tweaking of either the brackets on the
rad or on the inner wings to get the angle right, although the length
seemed OK. Even though I had never seen these stays before (they were
not part of the box of bits that was my TR2) they looked familiar,
then I realized they were identical to another E-Bay purchase for the
stay rods for the crank guide, the chrome lump that sits in the mouth
of the grille. The rods are threaded at one end and flattened out at
the other and have a slight bend in the middle of the bar. Can
someone tell me for which purpose these bars were intended, or did
Triumph really use the same item for both?
Cheers
John
