But the original Mini had a similar engine temp gauge - cold or hot. As for 
the BMW variant, if the type of bimbo I see driving them in the UK is 
anything to go by, the majority wouldn't know what oil pressure is, means, 
does and why. Against that background, the type of instrument in the car is 
probably in line with their mental capacity.
