My apologies to all, my earlier post neglected to mention that I was looking at
the schematic for a TR4A, rather than a TR6. Somehow, I thought the OP was
asking about a 4A, rather than a 6.
Only the 4A schematic shows the connection through the "green" ignition circuit.
This is in both Dan's schematic for the 4A, and my 2nd edition handbook for the
4A. The later cars all show it powered by the purple (fused, unswitched)
circuit.
