Subject: TR3B worth, parts
Would many of the parts under the hood interchange? Just how different are
the engines and transmissions?
Zach:
What ever you do, don't swap engines even though they will be basically
interchangeable. A 3B has either a TSF (early) or a TCF (late) prefix as
part of its commission number. The engine will have the same prefix as the
car's commission number. Placing a TS number engine (TR2, TR3 or TR3A) in a
3B will ruin the "numbers matching" salability.
An original engine number should be within a few hundred of the car's
commission number.
