Hello, everyone.
As the bodywork of my TR3A 3 year restoration is actually reliably underway,
am turning my attention to a variety of postponed later considerations, one of
which is headlights.
I asked the question a year or so ago, about how best to do the headlights.
At the time, I had a response referring me to "Lucas PL700 Tripods." I've
forgotten if these are regular (incandescent?) or Halogen.
I also was referred for headlight conversion to danielsternlighting.com, where
I should go with 7" convex/dome face H4 high/low beam plus 60/55W OSRAM High
Efficiency Plus 50 bulbs. Then should add fuses and relays to the headlight
circuit because the original headlight wiring harness was completely unfused.
Hmmm...see, those expert advisors among you on the List, we English majors may
be clueless, but we pay attention and write your stuff down!
...But...
While I was planning on going with the headlight conversion, I am thinking now
that I just might go stock and upgrade later (there will be enough bugs to
work out this summer, I expect, without adding to the initial chore). So, are
there Halogen headlamps that plug in without modification and don't overtax
the weak wiring/charging system, yet improve on the original headlamps?
Thanks, everyone.
