Don,

Several years ago, I restored the original overdrive switch on my TR3 by
repainting the metal switch with Krylon Gloss Black and using a white, water
soluble acrylic paint I bought in a small bottle at Ace Hardware for the
lettering. It really looked great!!

I had pretty good luck 'restoring' the hazard switch on my TR250. I don't
know if it was the original or a later replacement, but in any case, I
buffed the plastic and repainted the red triangle with the same kind of
paint! It looks pretty good, however, the buffing wasn't as 'pretty' as the
repaint on the O/D switch.

Of course YMMV and NFI.

Good luck,

Has anyone out there tried to restore the cosmetics of an early TR250 TR6
hazard toggle switch.
Black face with a red triangle.

I don't have one in hand, but I think the triangle is recessed -- cast in
the plastic. Could I put
some red paint in and then carefully wipe or sand away the excess?

Anyone tired this? Correct shade of red paint. etc.

Can anyone suggest gauge restoration shops that do it? I've emailed moma.
