I there anyway a Spit can get a partially blocked exhaust? Cat
converters that collapse can produce this condition (not your problem of
course) but some cars have other internals in the exhaust that can cause
blockage and of course someone could have just misplaced a jack and
crimped a pipe.
Just a guess but hopefully someone here will guess right.
