Okay, so the so-called street rollbars are worthless in the event of a
rollover (because they bolt to sheet metal instead of the frame). My
next question is why not make the underside flanges U-shaped so they
could wrap around the frame rails? You would then have a rollbar as
strong as the racing style with the ease of installation of the street
version.
I am sure I am not the first person to come up with this idea, so I
will now sit back and await the "That will not work because..."
responses.
