Hugh's checking other starters for cross-dressing (as shown below) made me
check into the TR3-4. AND THE ANSWER IS NO, they don't work for the
4.(according to Moss's part numbers.)

According to Spitfire and GT6 websites, there is an Isuzu Trooper starter
which fits Spitfire/GT6. Given the fact that the GT6 and TR250 share the
same Lucas starter, it probably fits that model as well. Don't know about
your '4.
