well, here is my $.02 brazing is usually done with brass or similiar alloy.flux is need to get the metal to flow properly and the biggest problem is getting the flux cleaned from the finished product. i think that the new water soluable fluxes are better, but the powdered flux will work it's way up through any type of finish. i've always found that a good brazed joint is much harder to do than welding. a bad brazing job can be done by almost anyone with a torch and very little patience Jim |
