Stag OD Shifter Knob on a TR6?

Does anyone out there know if a Stag shifter Knob with the OD switch will 
fit a TR6 shift shaft? I know the shaft for the Stag is hollow for the 
wires but is it the same thread as the TR6 shaft? Has anyone ever wired 
their OD this way in a TR6?
