I, too, had a very similar experience. I got stuck on the way going down in Stafford VA, when 'they' decide to close I-95 at 1:00 am to replace a span of bridge (of course no signs or detours posted). Needless-to-say, a two-hour wait and a $200 flat-bed tow to Richmond cured that. As for the Pertronix, the same just happened in my TR6 last month.
