I debated whether to reply, but in the hope that it might help others
avoid disappointment here goes...
I have the TRF carpet in the TR4 in the correct gray. Was a beautiful
match to original and the fit was easy and perfect. However, the dye
appears to be very vulnerable to sunlight. Even with the modest
exposure that occurs during driving the color has gone off and what
remains is an unnatural shade of gray-orange.
I have spoken to TRF and they understand the problem and indicated they
will stand behind the product and get me a replacement for the worst
piece (propshaft tunnel) though I expect that will eventually fade
(maybe I will save that piece 'for best' since it is a matter of a
couple minutes work to swap it).
No wish to start a vendor flame here, the TRF carpets have a deservedly
good reputation but I would avoid the gray unless they feel they have
improved the product to resist the effects of UV or whatever is causing
the color change.
