Still running the original 48s on mine, never had a problem, not even a
loose spoke. I often, like most of us, drive pretty hard when able.

Hi all,
We all know that 60 spoke wheels are stronger and stiffer and safer and more
desireable. But. Does any one have any real data - hard evidence - about the
likelihood of 48 spoke wheels failing catastrophically (ie, life
threatningly)
under normal spirited road driving conditions? I mean, not driving sideways
into curbs, or really gigantic potholes, but ocasionally sliding
enthusiatically around corners.

I ask, because I have a set of 48 spoke wheels, and a limited budget.

Thanks for any opinions,
Don
