Afternoon all, While out at lunch in the spitfire changed gears from 4th down to 3rd and got a "crunch". The last time this happened, the circlip that holds the 2nd/3rd gear cluster broke and fell down in the bottom of the gearbox. The gearbox is less than 7500km on this clip and it is GT6 MKIII with OD. Questions: - Is this normal given normal driving conditions? - Is this a weak point of this gearbox? - Can I fix this easily? Simply take out this and that in units and put back is the reverse - Instructions anyone???? Thanks in advance David Templeton '74 Spit6 - GT6 drivetrain on a Spitfire '59 TR3a |
