I want to replace the distributor cap, rotor and wires on my Lucas 25D4
dizzy. I've heard that an MGB cap will work (blasphemy, I know) , and use
standard 9 MM wires, not the hard-to-find 7MM ones that are original. The
difference is that the wires exit vertically, not horizontally, and don't
use less-than-reliable screw contacts.
Has anyone made this change? And, did the rotor have to be changed?
