I have just aquired an early rear view mirror and I am having problems
installing it. The mirror mounts and fits fine (I do have the windshield
support bracket installed under the mirror). The problem is that the mirror
will not adjust so that I can see over the back seat, All I get a view of is
the rear panel. I have to lower my head to almost below the top of the
seatback to get a view over the rear seat panel. Is there another piece or
spacer that has to go below the mirror base besides the windshield support?
I'm stumped on this one. There is no way to bend the bracket without
breaking it because it is formed from cast white metal, don't ask me how I
know. Anyone have any advice on this?
